Pant Glas
Pant Glas (Welsh for Blue Hollow) is a hamlet on the A487 road in Gwynedd, Wales. Historically part of Caernarfonshire, it is located approximately 10 miles south of Caernarfon, 9 miles miles north-west of Porthmadog, and 10 miles north-east of Pwllheli. Nearby is the former Pant Glas railway station, which was closed as well as the Carnarvonshire Railway in 1964. The railway has since been replaced with the Lôn Eifion cycle track.

Lôn Las Menai is part of Lôn Las Cymru, the Welsh National Cycle Route, which is about 400 km long. Lôn Las Menai is the section which runs for 6.5 km along a section of the former Caernarfon to Bangor railway trackbed. From the north of Caernarfon it just runs to the other side of Y Felinheli.
Mynydd Graig Goch
Mynydd Graig Goch (Welsh for Mountain of the Red Rock) is the western end peak of the Nantlle Ridge, and is a subsidiary summit of Craig Cwm Silyn. It is also the most westerly 2000 ft peak in Wales. For many years it was excluded from lists of the Welsh 2000ft hills due to a spot height of 609m on OS maps. However, this changed in 2008. After years of speculation a group of hillwalkers carried out a precise GPS survey of the peak, measuring the absolute height as 609.75 m (2000.49 ft).

Garndolbenmaen, known colloquially as Garn, is a village in the county of Gwynedd, Wales. It lies near the A487, approximately 6 miles north west of Porthmadog, in the community of Dolbenmaen, which has a population of 1,300. The closest villages are Dolbenmaen and Bryncir. The Papur Bro, the local Welsh language paper, is called Y Ffynnon (The Source/Spring).
