Rhosmeirch
Rhosmeirch is a small village in Anglesey, Wales. It is located 1+⁄2 miles north of the county town, Llangefni, and half a mile west of the reservoir Llyn Cefni.
Llyn Cefni
Llyn Cefni is a small reservoir in the centre of Anglesey, Wales which is managed by Welsh Water and Hamdden Ltd. It is located just one kilometre north of the island's county town of Llangefni and is the source of the Afon Cefni and other smaller watercourses. The reservoir and the immediate surrounding area has been designated as a nature reserve and as a further measure of conservation an artificial plantation of trees runs along its north shore.
Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni
Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni is a comprehensive school in the west of Llangefni, Anglesey. Opened in around 1953, it has 840 students. There is a sixth form class for ages 17–20, the amount of sixth formers are increasing every year with 2010 being the record year as over 50 pupils re-attended the school. This was an increase from the usual 20 so pupils, but as education becomes more competitive the amount of people coming back to their school is constantly rising.
The Dingle, Anglesey
The Dingle (Welsh: Nant y Pandy) is a nature reserve found just to the north of Llangefni, Anglesey, north Wales. Dingle is a common placename in the English language, which means "steep wooded valley", which describes it well. However, like many similar English names for natural attractions in Wales, e.g. Fairy Glen, the English name is recent and probably coined as tourism developed.
Llangefni railway station
Llangefni railway station was situated on the Anglesey Central Railway line from Gaerwen to Amlwch. A temporary terminus station was opened in 1864, approximately a quarter of a mile south of the current station. This station, near Glanhwfa Road, could be opened prior to the completion of bridge and cutting by which the railway travels through Llangefni. Once the portion of the line to Llanerchymedd had passed inspection in January 1866, the permanent station was opened.
Oriel Ynys Môn
Oriel Ynys Môn is a museum and arts centre located in Llangefni, Anglesey (Ynys Môn), Wales. A two-part centre, the History Gallery provides an insight into the island's culture, history and environment. The Art Gallery has a changing programme of exhibitions, encompassing art, craft, drama, sculpture and social history.
Holyhead Maritime Museum
The Holyhead Maritime Museum is a maritime museum located in Holyhead, North Wales. Housed in what is claimed to be the oldest Lifeboat station in Wales (built circa 1858), it houses a number of collections. The patron is Lord Stanley of Alderly.
St Cristiolus's Church, Llangristiolus
St Cristiolus's Church, Llangristiolus is a medieval church near the village of Llangristiolus, in Anglesey, north Wales. The village, about 1 mile from the building, takes its name from the church. Reputedly founded by St Cristiolus in 610, the present building dates from the 12th and 13th centuries.
