Norton Lindsey

Norton Lindsey is a village and civil parish in Warwickshire, UK. It is located 3.5 miles south-east of the tourist and county town of Warwick and a mile south-east of the M40 motorway. According to the 2001 UK Census the village had between 300 and 350 people living in it. The uncertainty arises because part of the village is in a separate parish. Indeed, whilst most of the village is in the Warwick District, some of it is in the Stratford District.

Welcombe Hotel

Welcombe Hotel occupies a 19th century former country mansion house near Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire which was previously known as Welcombe House. It is a Grade II* listed building. Welcombe, which was part of the Manor of Old Stratford, was granted by the Bishop of Worcester in 1537 to John Combe. In 1663 William Combe settled the estate and manor house on his grandson Sir Combe Wagstaffe. In about 1775 the estate was acquired by John Lloyd of Snitterfield.

Wolverton, Warwickshire

Wolverton is a village in Warwickshire, England. It is in Stratford-on-Avon District. It was known as Wolverdington until the middle of the 19th century. There is a parish church dedicated to St Mary, the oldest part of which dates from the 13th century. It is accessible only by a path as it is set back from the road. Wolverton was the birthplace on 18 March 1621 of the naval chaplain Henry Teonge, who kept interesting diaries of two Mediterranean voyages he made in 1675–76 and 1678–79.

RAF Snitterfield

RAF Snitterfield is a former Royal Air Force station located west of Snitterfield, Warwickshire, England, 3.3 miles north of Stratford-upon-Avon and 4.6 miles south-east of Henley-in-Arden, Warwickshire. Snitterfield was operational during the Second World War, the airfield was a class A airfield and had around 30 aircraft dispersals. The airfield was finished around June 1942 and cost around £1,147,000 and opened in 1943 then closed in 1946.
