Sawbridge

Sawbridge is a tiny hamlet in Warwickshire, England. It is 4 km north-west of Daventry and 8 km south of Rugby. The Grand Union Canal and Rains Brook run nearby as did the now-defunct Great Central main line railway track. Sawbridge does not have two of the most common features of the English village a public house or a church. It does, however, have a telephone box. In 1689 an old Roman water well was discovered in the village which contained a dozen or so Roman urns.

Shuckburgh Hall is a privately owned country house mansion at Lower Shuckburgh, near Daventry, Warwickshire. The estate has been the home of the Shuckburgh family since the 12th century. The house, which has Grade II* listed building status, is not generally open to the public. The house has its origins in the 14th and 15th centuries but has been much altered and extended over many years.

Flecknoe railway station

Flecknoe was a railway station that served the village of Flecknoe in Warwickshire, England, on the Weedon to Leamington Spa branch line. The station was built in a remote location in open countryside around 1.5 miles north-west of Flecknoe, it also served the small nearby hamlets of Sawbridge and Lower Shuckburgh, both within a couple of miles of the station.
