Bitton
Bitton is a village and civil parish in South Gloucestershire, England, in the Greater Bristol area on the River Boyd. It is in the far south of the South Gloucestershire district, near the border with Bath and North East Somerset. The parish of Bitton has a population of 9,307, and apart from the village itself, includes Swineford, Upton Cheyney, Beach and part of Willsbridge, and some areas which are suburbs of Bristol, including Oldland Common and North Common.

Upton Cheyney is a village in South Gloucestershire, England, near to Bitton, Bristol.
Swineford Lock
Swineford Lock is situated on the River Avon, at the village of Swineford, England. In its heyday, between 1709 and 1859 Swineford had an active brass and copper industry which were served by the river which also provided water power for the cloth industry.
Saltford Lock
Saltford Lock is situated on the River Avon, at the village of Saltford, between Bristol and Bath, England. The lock and weir are overlooked by the remains of the Kelston Brass Mill, which was working until 1925. It is a grade II listed building. Alongside the lock is a pub, whose garden extends over the lock to the small island between the lock and weir. The lock was opened in 1727 and destroyed in 1738 by rival coal dealers to stop the use of the river for transportation.
A431 road
The A431 is an A road running from Bristol to Bath in England. It runs parallel to, and about 3 miles to the north of, the A4, the principal route between Bristol and Bath on the south side of the River Avon. The A431 begins at a junction with the A420 at St George, about a mile (1.6 km) east of central Bristol. From there it runs through Hanham, Longwell Green, Bitton and Kelston to Bath.
Strawberry Line (Miniature Railway)
The Strawberry Line is a 0.75-mile length of 5in gauge railway inside Avon Valley Country Park. It is Britain's only commercial ground-level 5in railway. As a conventional ridable miniature railway it provides train rides for visitors to the park (for an additional fare), but it also runs demonstration freight trains using correctly scaled wagons. Driver experience courses are offered in the winter.

Oldland Abbotonians F.C. is a football club based in Oldland Common, near Bristol, England. For the 2012–13 season, they are members of the Western Football League Division One. The club is affiliated to the Somerset County FA and Gloucestershire County FA.
Swineford
Swineford is a hamlet in the South Gloucestershire council area, very close to the boundary with Bath and North East Somerset. It is located around 1 km south-east of Bitton, and lies on the River Avon, on which the Swineford Lock is sited. The A431 road runs through the village. The name is cognate with that of the German city of Schweinfurt.
