Halford is a small village in Shropshire, England. It lies just east, over the River Onny, of the small town of Craven Arms. The village was once the centre of a separate parish, and later civil parish, but is now part of the civil parish of Craven Arms, which was formed by merging the parish of Halford with that of Stokesay.

Cheney Longville

Cheney Longville is a small village in Shropshire, England. It lies in the parish of Wistanstow, near to the small market town of Craven Arms. Called simply "Langfeld" in 1087, when it was owned by Shrewsbury Abbey. Roger de Cheney gave his name to the village around 1395 when he fortified the manor house - Cheney Longville Castle. The River Onny and the A489 are to the immediate north. About a mile to the south is Sibdon Carwood.

Bushmoor is a hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is located in the parish of Wistanstow, 1¼ miles north of that village, and half a mile west of the A49 road. The lane running into the village from Wistanstow is a roman road, which ran between the Roman settlements and forts at Leintwardine and Wroxeter. The present day lane turns a sharp corner (to the east and the A49) off this ancient route and this is known as The Corner.

Strefford is a historic hamlet in Shropshire, England. It lies in the civil parish of Wistanstow and is situated just off the A49 road 2 miles north of the small town of Craven Arms. The nearest settlement is Upper Affcot, to the north on the A49, a hamlet which has a public house. Strefford is at an elevation of between 130 metres and 135m, and just to the east is Strefford Wood which is at the southern end of Wenlock Edge; the bridleway that runs along the Edge ends just outside the hamlet.
