Ford, Shropshire
Ford is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. Ford lies west of the county town of Shrewsbury, just off the A458 road and near to the River Severn, at grid reference SJ413137. The Royal Mail postcode is SY5. There is one pub in Ford, The Cross Gates, in the west part of the village. The Pavement Gates (previously The Owen Glendower), is now an Indian restaurant called Saffron Cottage, and is situated next to the Shell Garage.

According to the 2001 census it had a population of 645 (though in 2005 the parish expanded with the annexation of half of the former Wollaston parish). It includes the villages and hamlets of Alberbury, Cardeston, Little Shrawardine, Wollaston, Halfway House, Wattlesborough Heath and Rowton, and has Alberbury Castle and Wattlesborough Castle within its borders.

Yockleton is a village in Shropshire, England. Yockleton is west of the county town of Shrewsbury, just off the B4386 road to Montgomery and near the River Severn. There is one local pub, the Yockleton Arms (formerly the Pink Elephant), several miles west on the B4386, a 19th century village church (C of E), and a village hall, as well as an old people's home in the old Vicarage. The castle, known as Castell Isabella by the Anglo-Normans, was built in the reign of Henry I of England, and dismantled in 1645.

Rowton Castle, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England, is a Grade II* listed country house that was once the home of the Royal Normal College for the Blind before it moved to its present location in Hereford. The house is situated in 17 acres of grounds about 6 miles west of Shrewsbury. It is currently used as a hotel. The present castle was built in the 17th Century, although a previous castle named Rowton Castle had stood on the site for several hundred years previously.
