Ludham – Potter Heigham National Nature Reserve
Ludham–Potter Heigham Marshes NNR is a National Nature Reserve established and owned by English Nature in Norfolk, England. Located within The Broads National Park, it is an internationally important wetland site. The area was declared an NNR in 1987, covers an area of 86 hectares and consists of grass marshes on the north side of the River Thurne between Ludham and Potter Heigham.
River Thurne
The River Thurne is a river in Norfolk, England in The Broads. Just six miles (10 km) long it rises two miles (3 km) from the coast near Martham Broad and is navigable from West Somerton. It flows southwest and is linked by Candle Dyke and Heigham Sound to both Horsey Mere and Hickling Broad. It continues southwest and flows through Potter Heigham (passing under its medieval bridge) and enters the River Bure just south of Thurne dyke, near St. Benet's Abbey.

Palmer’s Drainage Windmill is located to the north of Upton Dyke close to the village of Upton in the English county of Norfolk. Upton Dyke runs westerly from the River Bure in the civil parish of Upton with Fishley . The Drainage mill can be found to the east of the village of Upton.
Potter Heigham railway station
Potter Heigham railway station was a railway station in Norfolk. It was on the line between Melton Constable and Great Yarmouth. It closed in 1959. In 2012 still in situ is the platform wall, some of the stations buildings and an old signal being used by Richardson's dry dock. You can trace the old line a good few miles to Stalham. Potter Heigham Bridge Halt railway station
Potter Heigham Bridge Halt was a railway station on the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway which was opened to serve the boating traffic on the River Thurne. It was more conveniently situated to the Norfolk village of Potter Heigham than Potter Heigham station itself.
