Huddersfield Broad Canal
The Huddersfield Broad Canal (also called by its original name, the Sir John Ramsden Canal) is a wide-locked navigable canal in Yorkshire in northern England. The waterway is 3¾ miles (6 km) long and has 9 wide locks. It follows the valley of the River Colne and connects the Calder and Hebble Navigation at Cooper Bridge junction with the Huddersfield Narrow Canal at (or near) Aspley Basin in the centre of Huddersfield.

The A642 is an A-road in West Yorkshire, England which runs from Huddersfield to the A64 near Leeds. It connects with the M1, M62 and A63. The road begins at Waterloo 2 miles east of the town centre before going on via Lepton, Grange Moor, Middlestown, Horbury(where it is the horbury bypass) into Wakefield City Centre. The road then goes onwards via Stanley, M62 Motorway (Junction 30), Oulton, Swillington, Garforth through before meeting the M1 Motorway at Junction 47.
