Thomas Andrew Knight, FRS (1759–1838) was a horticulturalist and botanist who lived at Downton Castle, Herefordshire. He was the brother of Richard Payne Knight.
Bringewood Ironworks
Bringewood Ironworks was a charcoal ironworks in north Herefordshire. It was powered by the river Teme, with a blast furnace, a finery forge and latterly a rolling mill for blackplate. It was probably built for Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester in the 1590s, but reverted to the Crown on his attainder, and was then let to Sir Henry Wallop. However, he evidently sublet it to working ironmasters.
Downton Castle
Not to be confused with Downton Hall, Stanton Lacy, Shropshire Downton Castle is an 18th-century country house at Downton on the Rock, Herefordshire, England, about five miles west of Ludlow, Shropshire. It is a Grade I listed building. The estate was acquired by Richard Knight (1659–1749) a wealthy ironmaster of Madeley, Shropshire, and in due course passed to his grandson Richard Payne Knight, who created the new house in a Gothic revival style.
National Cycle Route 44
National Cycle Network, Route 44, part of the National Cycle Network, connects Shrewsbury, Shropshire with Cinderford, Gloucestershire. The part of the route from Shrewsbury to Bromfield is signed - the remainder of the route is currently unsigned. The section from Shrewsbury to Leominster is advertised as the Six Castles Cycleway.
St Bartholomew's Church, Richard's Castle
St Bartholomew's Church, Richard's Castle, is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Richard's Castle, Herefordshire, England. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands close to the castle of the same name as the village, near to the Wales–England border. The tower is detached from the main body of the church, and stands about 11 yards to its east.

Richard's Castle is a village, castle and two civil parishes on the border of the counties of Herefordshire and Shropshire in England. The village lies on the B4361, 5+⁄2 miles south of the historic market town of Ludlow. The castle is ⁄4 miles to the northwest of the village.
