Blaisdon

Blaisdon is a village and civil parish in the Forest of Dean of Gloucestershire, England, about ten miles west of Gloucester. Its population in 2005 was estimated by Gloucestershire County Council to be 249. A estimate in 2012 placed the population at 420. The local church is dedicated to St. Michael. John Dowding of Tanhouse Farm, Blaisdon developed the popular jam-making plum "Blaisdon Red" in the late 19th century.

Longhope railway station

Longhope railway station is a disused stone built railway station that served the village of Longhope in Gloucestershire. Opened in 1855 with the line it was located on the Great Western Railway line linking Ross-on-Wye and Gloucester. Longhope station was used in season to export locally produced jam and fruit grown locally. The station had a passing loop on what was a single track. The station has been demolished but the waiting room still remains.
