Whitchurch Rural District (Herefordshire)
Whitchurch was a rural district in Herefordshire, England from 1894 to 1931. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 from that part of the Monmouth rural sanitary district which was in Herefordshire. It consisted of the following parishes Ganarew Garway Llanrothal Welsh Bicknor Welsh Newton Whitchurch The district was abolished in 1931 under a County Review Order. It was combined with the Ross Rural District to make the Ross and Whitchurch Rural District.

Symonds Yat Rapids are a grade-2 man-made feature on the River Wye, near Symonds Yat on the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire border. They are most commonly used by canoeists and kayakers for whitewater training and playboating.

The house and estate has also been known as The Leys or Lays House. It is located 2 miles from Monmouth and 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye. The house is in close proximity to the River Wye and less than 50 metres from the county boundary between Herefordshire and Monmouthshire.

The Church of St Swithin is a parish church in Ganarew, south Herefordshire, England. The parish church is dedicated to St Swithin, although the 1868 National Gazetteer notes a dedication to St Luke. The parish is within the Church of England Diocese of Hereford, and the church is a Grade II listed building.
