Butterley Hall
Butterley Hall is an 18th-century country house near Ripley, Derbyshire which now serves as the headquarters of the Derbyshire Constabulary. It is a Grade II listed building The manor of Butterley was owned by Darley Abbey until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century. The two-storey, attic-gabled eight-bayed house was built in the late 18th century for the Home family but was sold in 1790 to Francis Beresford for occupation by Benjamin Outram founder of the Butterley Company.

Amber Sound FM is a Community Radio station based in the Amber Valley, Derbyshire. It was awarded a five year community license by OFCOM in 2008 after several Restricted Service License broadcasts. Amber Sound said it would "encourage local people, young and old, to become part of" the station. Chris Knight is now the Station Manager at Amber Sound FM.
The Elms, Derbyshire
The Elms is a housing estate built by the town council in the 1950s to provide social housing on the south-western edge of Ripley, Derbyshire, England. It took its name from The Elms farm whose land it was built on. The house, called The Elms, was converted into flats and the farm yard and outbuildings were used as a depot by the council until demolition around the 1970s when sheltered housing was built on the site.
Butterley railway station
Butterley railway station is a preserved railway station on the Heritage Midland Railway - Butterley in Derbyshire. Originally located on the Midland Railway's Ambergate to Pye Bridge Line, the station opened on 1 May 1875 as Butterley, being renamed Butterley for Ripley and Swanwick on 29 July 1935. {{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}} It closed to passengers on 16 June 1947{{#invoke:Footnotes|sfn}}, but remained open for goods traffic until 7 November 1964.
Butterley Reservoir
Butterley Reservoir is a reservoir in Derbyshire, England. The reservoir was built to provide water for the Cromford Canal which opened for use in 1794. The Codnor Park and Butterley Park reservoirs also provided water to the Cromford Canal. The currently disused Cromford Canal passes beneath the reservoir along the Butterley Tunnel. When the canal tunnel was in use water was provided to the canal directly from the reservoir via an adit which connects to the Butterley tunnel.
