Owings Mills, Maryland

Owings Mills is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a suburb of Baltimore. The population was 30,622 at the 2010 census. Owings Mills is home to the northern terminus of the Baltimore Metro Subway and to Owings Mills Mall. It is also home to the Baltimore Ravens' headquarters facility. In 2008, CNNMoney. com named Owings Mills number 49 of the "100 Best Places to Live and Launch."

Garrison Forest School

Garrison Forest School (GFS) is a college preparatory school, in Owings Mills, Maryland, near Baltimore, with a nationally distinctive educational model. The school offers a day school for girls, pre-first through grade 12, as well as a coed program from ages two through kindergarten. Owings Mills (Baltimore Metro Subway station)

The Owings Mills Metro Subway Station is one of 14 stops along the Baltimore Metro Subway line. It is the most northern and western station on the line, and has more parking spaces than all other stops along the line. The station is within a close walk of the Owings Mills Mall. Two buses currently serve this station: 56 to Glyndon 59 to Reisterstown Plaza Note = Both operate via Reisterstown Road and connection to Owings Mills Town Center

Rosewood Center

The Rosewood Center was an institution for people with developmental disabilities located on Rosewood Lane in Owings Mills, Maryland. It was established in 1888 as the Asylum and Training School for the Feeble Minded. From 1912 to 1961, it was known as the Rosewood State Training School. In 1961, the facility was renamed as the Rosewood State Hospital. After the state departments of health and mental hygiene merged in 1969, the facility was renamed the Rosewood Center.

Owings Mills Mall

Owings Mills Mall is a large shopping mall in the Baltimore County, Maryland, community of Owings Mills that is owned and managed by General Growth Properties. While its main entrance is off Red Run Boulevard between Painters Mill Road and Owings Mills Boulevard, the mall is also accessible from the exit ramps of I-795. It was originally known as Owings Mills Town Center, but a new nearby development in the vicinity has now been given that name.

WBIS was an American radio station broadcasting a News Talk Information format. Licensed to Annapolis, Maryland, USA, the station served the Baltimore, Maryland area. The station was last owned by Nations Radio, LLC (a subsidiary of Potomac Radio, LLC). On October 29, 2008, Leesburg, Virginia-based WCRW/1200 (which previously had the WAGE callsign) received a permit to move to 1190 kHz as well as to raise its power to 50 kW. (As of April 2010, WAGE and WBIS had effectively the same ownership.
