Corndon Hill

Corndon Hill is a hill in Powys, Mid Wales, whose summit rises to 513 m above sea level. It is surrounded on three sides by the English county of Shropshire and forms a prominent landmark in the Wales-England border. Corndon's prominent western edge appears to form a separate hill and is known locally as Lan Fawr . The Bronze Age stone circles of Mitchell's Fold and the now largely destroyed The Whetstones lie at the foot of the hill within Shropshire.

Heath Mynd

Heath Mynd is a hill in the English county of Shropshire. It is fairly unnotable except for its Marilyn status, a feature caused by the sharp drop on all sides. It is connected to Corndon Hill by a low col, and is only just inside England, being just one mile from the border with Wales. The nearby village is Norbury; nearest towns are Bishop's Castle and Church Stretton. Its nearest neighbour (visible in the photo) is called Cefn Gunthly.

Roundton Hill

Roundton Hill is a rounded, steep sided, 370 metres hill, volcanic in origin, in the easternmost part of old Montgomeryshire, Wales, which juts into the English border near Church Stoke. It is managed as a nature reserve by the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust, who acquired it in 1985. There was once an Iron Age hillfort here. The vantage point offers views across the surrounding countryside. Lead and barite mines run into the hill, and are today used as a roost by Horseshoe and Daubenton's bats.

Three Tuns Brewery

The Three Tuns Brewery is a brewery in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, England, established in 1642 on its current site, making it the oldest licensed brewery site in Britain. While some of the current building dates to the seventeenth century, the main building is a Victorian tower brewery erected about 1888, making it one of only four brewers in the United Kingdom to use such a method to brew beer. The brewery is Grade Two listed, described as "a rare survival of a small, working rural brewery".

Snead is a small village in Powys, Wales. It is situated on the A489 road and the River Camlad. The English border is immediately to the east of the village. The small town of Bishop's Castle is 2.0 miles to the south. A monastery existed here c. 1200, before moving to Chirbury by 1227.
