Mynydd Illtud
Mynydd Illtud is an extensive area of common land three miles south-west of Brecon in the Brecon Beacons National Park in the county of Powys, Wales. The common is an undulating plateau lying between 330 and 370 metres (and ft) above sea level. Its highest points are 381 metres at Allt Lom and 367 metres at Twyn y Gaer trig point overlooking the valley of the River Usk.
Afon Ysgir
The Afon Ysgir is a short river which rises on the southern slopes of Mynydd Epynt in Powys, Wales. The tributaries known as Ysgir Fawr and Ysgir Fechan flow past the hamlets of Pont Rhyd-y-berry and Merthyr Cynog to combine at Pont-faen and continue past the village of Battle to join the River Usk at Aberyscir. Its upper reaches are within the military training area of SENTA, the British Army's Sennybridge Training Area.

Not to be confused with the Afon Brân in Carmarthenshire. The Nant Brân is a short river which rises on the southern slopes of Mynydd Epynt in Powys, Wales. The word 'brân' means 'crow' in Welsh: the name may therefore allude to the dark colour of its waters. Its upper reaches are within the military training area of SENTA, the British Army's Sennybridge Training Area.
Farewell Rock
The Farewell Rock is the name given to a series of sandstones which lie at the boundary of the Coal Measures with the underlying Marros Group in South Wales. Once thought to be a single sandstone, it is now accepted that the same name has been applied to several different sandstones of similar age across the South Wales Coalfield. The sandstone unit known as the Farewell Rock in the Pembrokeshire Coalfield is continuous with the Cumbriense Quartzite of the main South Wales Coalfield.
