Maen Madoc
The Maen Madoc or Maen Madog stone is a menhir which lies adjacent to the Roman road Sarn Helen that runs across the Brecon Beacons in what was a key area of Roman Wales, about 2km north of Ystradfellte. It stands approximately 10 feet high. It is thought to mark a Christian burial – the stone is inscribed on one side, the Latin inscription reading DERVAC(IVS) FILIVS (H)IC IACIT – "Of Dervacus, Son of Justus. He lies here".
Porth yr Ogof
Porth yr Ogof is a cave located near the village of Ystradfellte, near the southern boundary of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. In 1998 the cave's passageways had been measured as over 2.25 km in length. Among the cave's fifteen entrances is the largest cave entrance in Wales (but many of those entrances are only accessible to cave divers).

The Nedd Fechan or 'Little Neath' is a river in the county of Powys, south Wales, Great Britain. It rises on the eastern slopes of Fan Gyhirych in the Fforest Fawr section of the Brecon Beacons National Park and flows south for 12km / 7 mi to join with the Afon Mellte at Pontneddfechan, their combined waters continuing as the River Neath to the sea near Swansea.
Fforest Fawr
Fforest Fawr is the name given to an extensive upland area in the county of Powys, Wales. Formerly known as the 'Great Forest of Brecknock' in English, it was a royal hunting area for several centuries but is now used primarily for sheep grazing, forestry, water catchment and recreation. It lies within the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Afon Llia
The Afon Llia is a short river in Powys, Wales, and which is wholly contained within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Several streams draining the eastern slopes of Fan Nedd and the western slopes of Fan Dringarth in the Fforest Fawr section of the national park meet to form the river, which then flows southwards for 5 kilometres to its confluence with the Afon Dringarth, the combined waters continuing south as the Afon Mellte.
Afon Dringarth
The Afon Dringarth is a river in Powys, Wales and wholly contained within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Its headwater streams drain the eastern slopes of Fan Dringarth, the southern slopes of Craig Cerrig-gleisiad and the western slopes of Fan Fawr. The river flows south-southwest for about 6km / 3.5mi to its confluence with the Afon Llia one mile north of the village of Ystradfellte, continuing south as the Afon Mellte.
Ystradfellte Reservoir
Ystradfellte Reservoir is a water storage reservoir on the Afon Dringarth in the upland area of Fforest Fawr within the Brecon Beacons National Park in south Wales. It lies just north of the village of Ystradfellte in the county of Powys at OS Grid ref SN 946178. The embankment is 920 feet long by 114 feet high. When full the water surface is 1,204 feet above sea level.
Moel Penderyn
Moel Penderyn is a hill on the edge of Penderyn village, in the Brecon Beacons National Park in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff, south Wales. It also appeared on older maps as 'Y Foel Penderyn'. Its summit at 371m is marked by a trig point.
