Hengoed railway station
Hengoed railway station is the name of an operational National Rail station situated in Hengoed, Wales, on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network. The current station was initially named Hengoed & Maesycwmerr when opened by the Rhymney Railway in 1858. Then on railway grouping into the Great Western Railway in 1923 it became known as Hengoed Low Level to avoid confusion.

Pengam railway station is situated in Pengam on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network in South Wales. The train service is 4 trains per hour south to Cardiff Central and onwards to Penarth. Northwards there are 3 trains an hour terminating at Bargoed with one train per hour continuing to Rhymney. It is also the nearest station to the town of Blackwood. Pengam is the 2nd busiest station on the Rhymney Line, after Caerphilly.
Gilfach Fargoed railway station
Gilfach Fargoed railway station is a railway station serving the village of Gilfach, in Caerphilly county borough, south Wales. It is a stop on the Rhymney Line of the Valley Lines network. The platforms are short, and can barely accommodate a British Rail Class 153 train. Passengers can only alight from the front doors of any train calling here, so the conductor on longer trains must give passengers advance notice so that they have time to move towards the front set of doors.

Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni (English: Rhymney Valley Comprehensive School) is a Welsh-medium school situated in the village of Fleur-de-Lys in the Rhymney Valley. Cwm Rhymni was founded in 1981 with little more than 100 pupils and as of 2012 this number has grown to over 1000. The school's motto is 'Tua'r Goleuni' (Towards the Light) and its badge is a dragon on its hind-legs. The school is traditionally represented by the colours red and black.
Hengoed Viaduct
Hengoed Viaduct is a Grade II* listed railway viaduct, located above the village of Maesycwmmer, in Caerphilly county borough, South Wales. Originally built to carry the Taff Vale Extension of the Newport, Abergavenny and Hereford Railway (NA&HR) across the Rhymney River, it is now part of National Cycle Route 47
