Northwood Halt railway station

Northwood Halt is an unstaffed request stop on the Severn Valley Railway in Worcestershire, situated a little to the north of Bewdley on the outskirts of the Wyre Forest. There is a level crossing just to the south of the single platform. It is the only surviving original halt on the line. The halt first opened in June 1935 and was in use until the end of British Railways passenger services beyond Bewdley in 1963.

Trimpley (grid reference SO793784) is a hamlet in the parish of Kidderminster Foreign. It lies on the ridge of Shatterford Hill, north of Wribbenhall and east of Habberley. At the village (such as it is) lies along Trimpley Green, a small common. At the northern end of Trimpley is the ancient wooded area of Eymore Wood, now bounded on its west by the Severn Valley Railway, beyond which lies Trimpley Reservoir. South of Trimpley Green lies Wassell Wood (now owned by the Woodland Trust).
