Sandsfoot Castle
Sandsfoot Castle is one of Henry VIII's Device Forts, also known as Henrician Castles, built around 1541 to the west of Weymouth, Dorset, England, opposite its contemporary Portland Castle. Together these two forts put the whole of Portland harbour and the roads within range of their artillery, thus protecting shipping from foreign raiders, and preventing an invading landing force from forming up offshore, although the castle was always vulnerable to attack from a landward direction.

Weymouth Marina
Weymouth Marina occupies most of the inner backwater of Weymouth Harbour, Dorset, England. The marina was refurbished to accommodate more vessels in the 1990s, and today houses hundreds of pleasure cruisers, fishing boats, yachts, dinghies and speedboats. Access to the marina is via a lifting road bridge across the harbour between Weymouth and Melcombe Regis.

Wyke Regis railway station
Wyke Regis Halt was a small railway station on the Portland Branch Railway in the west of the English county of Dorset. Opened in July 1909, it was part of a scheme that saw several halts opened on the GWR with services provided by Railmotors to counter road competition. The station closed with the branch in 1952.
Royal Adelaide (1865)
The Royal Adelaide was an iron sailing ship of 1400 tons built by William Patterson at Bristol in 1865. She was wrecked on Chesil Beach on 25 November 1872, while on a passage from London to Sydney with a crew of 32 and 35 passengers. In bad weather the ship tried to reach the shelter of Portland Harbour but was forced into Lyme Bay from which there was no exit in a storm. The anchors were lowered to try to prevent the ship being blown onto Chesil Beach.
Rodwell Trail
The Rodwell Trail is a short-distance footpath that runs from Wyke Regis to the town centre of Weymouth in Dorset. The trail, opened in 2000, travels along the former route of the Weymouth and Portland Railway and is part of the South West Coast Path. It is named after a neighbourhood of Weymouth which it passes through.
