The Keswick Convention is an annual gathering of evangelical Christians in Keswick, in the English county of Cumbria.
B5289 road
The B5289 is a road in the Lake District, England. It lies in the county of Cumbria, and is an important traffic artery in the Lake District. The road starts in Keswick and passes alongside Derwent Water. At the southern end of the lake it enters Borrowdale, passing the settlements of Grange, Rosthwaite and Seatoller. This stretch of road is notable for its views of the surrounding fells, including Catbells and Glaramara. At Seatoller, the road starts its climb up to Honister Pass.
Castlerigg Manor
Castlerigg Manor is a Catholic Residential Youth Centre - also often referred to as Catholic Youth Retreat Centres - in Keswick, Cumbria, in the north of England's Lake District National Park. The centre is owned and operated by the Catholic Diocese of Lancaster, although it serves Catholic organisations from much of northern England and beyond. The ministry of Castlerigg Manor is to run residential retreats/ courses for groups of Catholic young people.
Cars of the Stars Motor Museum
The Cars of the Stars Motor Museum was in the English town of Keswick, Cumbria, and owned a collection of celebrity television and film vehicles. On 8 May 2011, the attraction closed, with a message on the museum website stating "... check the website for details of the relocation of the vehicles to a new location shortly... " As of December 2011, all the cars have been sold, except for the original Only Fools and Horses Reliant van.
Keswick School of Industrial Art
Keswick School of Industrial Art (KSIA) was founded in 1884 by Canon Hardwicke Rawnsley and his wife Edith as an evening class of repoussé metalwork in the Crosthwaite Parish Rooms, just outside Keswick, Cumbria. The building was designed by the Lancaster architects Paley, Austin and Paley at an estimated cost of £1,300. Rawnsley was a defender of the Lake District, and a friend of John Ruskin and Beatrix Potter. His art and writings laid the foundation of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Keswick railway station
Keswick railway station was situated on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway between Penrith and Cockermouth in Cumbria, England. The station served the town of Keswick. The station opened to passenger traffic on 2 January 1865, and closed on 6 March 1972. The station building still exists and is now being used as a hotel.
Theatre by the Lake
Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, Cumbria, England is situated on the shores of Derwentwater in the Lake District. It opened in 1999, replacing the old Blue Box Touring Theatre, and was made possible by an Arts Council Lottery Fund Grant. The resident professional company offers a year-round programme of their own productions in Repertoire (theatre) - a summer season of six plays, a Christmas show and a Spring/Easter production.
Keswick Museum and Art Gallery
The Keswick Museum and Art Gallery in Cumbria was founded in 1873 and had a number of temporary homes as it grew, including the Moot Hall in Keswick town centre. A building was purpose built for it, in Fitz Park, partly as a memorial to the Hewetson brothers, distinguished Keswick benefactors, and to commemorate the jubilee of Queen Victoria. It remains the only purpose-built museum in the county.
Lord's Island
Lord's Island, which is one of the seven islands on Derwent Water in Keswick, Cumbria, England, got its name from the Earls of Derwentwater who used to live here. Not only was there a fine house on this island but it also had a drawbridge which was used to cross to the mainland. This fine house gradually fell into a state of disrepair when the Earls moved away, and only its foundations can still be seen today.
Cumberland Pencil Museum
The Cumberland Pencil Museum is home to the biggest colouring pencil in the world, the idea of technical manager Barbara Murray. It was completed on 28 May 2001, is 7.91 metres long, and weighs 446.36 kilograms . The first pencil factory of Keswick opened in 1832. The second and current factory was started in the 1920s and completed in 1950. The museum opened 25 years ago and now receives over 80,000 visitors a year from all around the world.

Fitz Park
Fitz Park is a public park in Keswick, Cumbria. Landscaped in the Victorian period, the park contains shrubberies and specimen trees, and provides open space for recreation. There are sports grounds for tennis and bowls, and the Keswick Museum and Art Gallery is situated there. The home ground of Keswick Cricket Club is located in the park.
