Bassenthwaite Lake railway station
Bassenthwaite Lake railway station was situated on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway between Penrith and Cockermouth in Cumbria, England. The station served the village of Dubwath. The station opened to passenger traffic on 2 January 1865, and closed on 18 April 1966. The station building and one platform are still visible from the A66 through the trees although the station is in a state of disrepair and now has no roof.
Embleton railway station
Embleton railway station was situated on the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway between Penrith and Cockermouth in Cumbria, England. The station served the village of Embleton. The station opened to passenger traffic on 2 January 1865, and closed on 15 September 1958. All trace of the station building has gone although the Station Master's house survives as a private residence on the side of the A66.
Isel, Cumbria
Isel is a dispersed settlement,and area in the valley of the River Derwent within the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. It is an ecclesiastical parish within the civil parish of Blindcrake. Nearby are the hamlets of Sunderland and Redmain, and the village of Blindcrake. Isel is a rural community, with a church, a manorial Hall and several farms ranging from dairy to poultry, but lacking basic local facilities having no shop, public house or post office.
Dubwath
Dubwath is a hamlet in the Allerdale district, in Cumbria, England. It is part of the parish of Setmurthy. It is situated on the B5291 road between Cockermouth and Keswick. It is directly adjacent to Bassenthwaite Lake (a popular sailing location). It used to be served by Bassenthwaite Lake railway station, the railway now having been replaced with an A road, the A66. It is on the Workington to Penrith via Keswick bus route.

Wythop is a civil parish in the north of Cumbria, England between Cockermouth and Keswick. Wythop is within one mile of the hamlets of Dubwath (in the parish of Setmurthy) and Wythop Mill. Administratively Wythop forms part of the district of Allerdale.

St Michael's Church, Isel
St Michael's Church, Isel, is located by the side of the River Derwent in the dispersed settlement of Isel, in the civil parish of Blindcrake, Cumbria, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the deanery of Derwent, the archdeaconry of West Cumberland, and the diocese of Carlisle. Its benefice is united with those of nine local churches to form the benefice of Binsey. The church has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.

Isel Hall is an ancient Cumbrian residence that sits on a steep rise on the northern banks of the River Derwent, two miles to the South of Bassenthwaite Lake, three miles east, north-east of Cockermouth, with spectacular views over the Lake District fells and Skiddaw. It was once the home of the Lawson family.
