Ramsey (Plaza) tram station

Ramsey (Plaza) Station serves the town of Ramsey in the Isle of Man; it is the northern terminus of the Manx Electric Railway and gains its name from a nearby building, now demolished and turned into a car park. The railway's literature referred to the station as such for many years, however today it is known simply as Ramsey Tram Station and signage to this effect adorns the front lawn of the station.

Milntown Railway

The Milntown Railway was in fact a short spur off the ex Manx Northern line just south of the terminus at Ramsey and was constructed only in the final year of operation for the purposes of transporting fuel oil from Peel to Ramsey by rail. The siding was a direct spur off the main line and was on a very tight curve directly into the yard that it served.

School House Corner (formerly known as Russell's Corner) is a corner on the primary A3 road in the parish of Lezayre in the Isle of Man. It is situated between the 23rd and 24th milestone road marker for the Mountain Course on the A3 Lezayre Road in the town of Ramsey used for the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix Races. The corner was part of the Four Inch Course used for the Gordon Bennett Trial and Tourist Trophy automobile car races held in the Isle of Man between 1905 and 1911.

The A18 Snaefell Mountain Road was developed in the mid-nineteenth century from a number of pre-existing tracks and bridle paths.

Ramsey Grammar School

Ramsey Grammar School is a coeducational comprehensive secondary school located in Ramsey, on the Isle of Man. A grammar school has existed in Ramsey since 1681. It moved to Lezayre Road in 1933 and was housed in a building that now forms the east building of the present school. In 1939, the school was requisitioned by the RAF for the war effort and in 1946 was re-opened on a non-selective basis with 460 pupils on its register.

The Battle of the Isle of Man was a battle fought in 1158 between the Norse Gofraidh mac Amhlaibh (Godred II), King of Mann and the Isles and Celtic Somhairle MacGillebride (Somerled), King of Cinn Tìre (Kintyre), Argyll and Lorne, on the Isle of Man. Somerled sailed his fleet of 53 birlinns into Ramsey Bay and set about attacking the forces of Godred II and plundering the Isle of Man.

Water Works Corner

Water Works Corner is situated between the 24th Milestone and the 25th Milestone road-side marker on the Snaefell Mountain Course used for the Isle of Man TT Races on the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road in the parish of Maughold in the Isle of Man. The name Water Works Corner derives from the nearby Ballure Reservoir which was built by the Ramsey Water Works Company established by an Act of Tynwald in 1859 to supply drinking water to the town of Ramsey.
