University of Siena
The University of Siena in Siena, Tuscany is one of the oldest and first publicly funded universities in Italy. Originally called Studium Senese, the University of Siena was founded in 1240. The University had around 20,000 students in 2006 nearly half of Siena's total population of around 54,000. Today, the University of Siena is best known for its Schools of Law and Medicine.
Palio di Siena
The Palio di Siena (known locally simply as Il Palio) is a horse race that is held twice each year, on July 2 and August 16, in Siena, Italy. Ten horses and riders, bareback and dressed in the appropriate colours, represent ten of the seventeen contrade, or city wards. The Palio held on July 2 is named Palio di Provenzano, in honour of the Madonna of Provenzano, who has a church in Siena. The Palio held on August 16 is named Palio dell'Assunta, in honour of the Assumption of Mary.

The Palazzo Pubblico (town hall) is a palace in Siena, Tuscany, central Italy. Construction began in 1297 and its original purpose was to house the republican government, consisting of the Podestà and Council of Nine. The outside of the structure is an example of Italian medieval architecture with Gothic influences. The lower story is stone; the upper crenelatted stories are made of brick.
Torre del Mangia
The Torre del Mangia is a tower in Siena, in the Tuscany region of Italy. Built in 1338-1348, it is located in the Piazza del Campo, Siena's premier square, adjacent to the Palazzo Pubblico (Town Hall). When built it was one of the tallest secular towers in mediaeval Italy. At 88 m, it is third tallest after Cremona's Torrazzo (112 m) and the Asinelli tower in Bologna (97 m).

Piazza del Campo is the principal public space of the historic center of Siena, Tuscany, Italy and is regarded as one of Europe's greatest medieval squares. It is renowned worldwide for its beauty and architectural integrity. The Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, as well as various palazzi signorili surround the shell-shaped piazza. At the northwest edge is the Fonte Gaia. The twice-a-year horse-race, Palio di Siena, is held around the edges of the piazza.

Today it has approximately 3,000 branches, 33,000 employees and 4.5 million customers in Italy, as well as branches and businesses abroad. A subsidiary, MPS Finance, handles investment banking.
Stadio Artemio Franchi – Montepaschi Arena
Stadio Artemio Franchi is a multi-purpose stadium in Siena, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and the home of A.C. Siena. The stadium was built in 1923 and holds 15,373. It is named after former Italian Football Federation president Artemio Franchi. In summer 2007, A.C. Siena agreed to rename the stadium into Stadio Artemio Franchi – Montepaschi Arena, to include the name of their main sponsor, Monte dei Paschi di Siena. During March 2011, A.C.
San Martino (Siena)
San Martino is a church in Siena, Tuscany, Italy. Known from the 12th century, it was enlarged and renovated in the 16th century. The façade was built in 1613 and the bell tower completed in 1738. The interior, in the counterfaçade, has an Immaculate Conception Protecting Siena during the Battle of Camullia by Giovanni di Lorenzo, commissioned by the city's commune in 1528. San Raimondo (Siena)
San Raimondo is a church in Siena, Tuscany, Italy. It was built from 1596 by will of the Sienese noble Aurelio Chigi. The Basilica dell'Osservanza is a church on the outskirts of Siena, Italy. It was built around 1490, probably designed by Francesco di Giorgio. The church was expanded between 1495 and 1496 by Magnifico Despota Pandolfo Petrucci. Built in the Renaissance style, the original complex was damaged during the Siege of Siena in 1554. It was rebuilt during the Baroque period and restored between 1922 and 1932.
Battistero di San Giovanni (Siena)
The Battistero di San Giovanni is a religious building in Siena, Italy. It is located in the square with the same name, near the final spans of the choir of the city's cathedral. It was built between 1316 and 1325 by Camaino di Crescentino, the father of Tino di Camaino. The façade, in Gothic style, is unfinished in the upper part, such as the apse of the cathedral.

Siena railway station
Siena railway station (Italian: Stazione di Siena) serves the city and comune of Siena, in the region of Tuscany, central Italy. Opened in 1935, it forms part the Central Tuscany railway (Empoli–Siena–Chiusi), and is a junction station for a branch line to Grosseto. The station is currently managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI). However, the commercial area of the passenger building is managed by Centostazioni. Train services to and from the station are operated by Trenitalia.
Palazzo Salimbeni is a historical building in Siena, central Italy, which currently houses the seat of the Monte dei Paschi di Siena bank. It was built in the 14th century, likely above pre-existing 12th-13th century structures. In the 19th century it was remodeled in neo-Gothic style, with detail including the merlons, the Lombard bands under them, the ogival triple mullioned windows, inspired by Siena's Palazzo Pubblico.
San Pietro alla Magione
San Pietro alla Magione is an ancient church on Via Camollia in Siena, Italy. Documents attest to a church at the site since 998. It is built in stone, and preceded by a stairs and a Romanesque bell portal. The austere interior was restored in 1957 and contains a Gothic tabernacle from the second half of the 14th century, a Madonna with Saints John the Baptist and Peter by Diego Pesco, fragments of frescoes (Cruxifixion and Biblical Stories) by Cristoforo di Bindoccio and Meo di Pero.
Oratorio di San Rocco (Siena)
The Oratory of San Rocco is a small religious building in Siena, located via Vallerozzi. The simple two story building has been the property of the Contrada della Lupa, a ward in north Siena, since 1789. The brick façade has an oculus with a 16th century statue of St Roch, and a travertine marble tympanum. The interior and the apse are frescoed in the 17th century.

San Pietro a Ovile is a church in via del Giglio in Siena, Italy. Originally built in the 13th century in Romanesque style, the church underwent reconstruction in the 18th century. Now only the façade, with its bells remain evident from the original church. The entrance portal has and deteriorated frescoes by Rutilio Manetti.
San Pellegrino alla Sapienza
The church of San Pellegrino alla Sapienza o della Sapienza is found in Siena, Italy, on the intersection of via della Sapienza and via delle Terme. A hospital was founded on the site in the mid 13th century by the Blessed Andrea Gallerani, suppressed in 1408. Documents attest to a church by 1240. Various reconstructions have occurred over the centuries. Major works in the interior were added in the 17th century.

The church of ‘‘‘Santo Stefano alla Lizza in found in Siena on via dei Gazzani. A Romanesque style building documented to exist since the 12th century, was reconstructed in 1671-1675. The façade is crowned with a tympanum with an oculus, and prececed by a flight of stairs in brick.
San Gaetano di Thiene (Siena)
The narrow church or oratory of San Gaetano di Thiene is found in the middle of via dei Pispini in Siena, Italy. The oratory of the aristocratic Contrada del Nicchio (Sea-shell) was built from 1683-1700 . The simple façade sports a large stucco seashell over the doorway. It houses a 14th century painting depicting a Madonna and Child with Saints, which is likely the icon of Madonna del Forcone that had been previously venerated at an aedicule where the church stands.
