Bologna Centrale is a railway station in Bologna, Italy. It is at the southern end of the Milan-Bologna high-speed line, which opened on 13 December 2008 and the northern end of the Bologna–Florence Direttissima, opened on 22 April 1934. A new high-speed line to Florence opened on 13 December 2009. The station is the fifth busiest in Italy, with an annual ridership of 58 million.

Stadio Renato Dall'Ara

Stadio Renato Dall'Ara is a multi-purpose stadium in Bologna, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football matches and the home of Bologna F.C. 1909. The stadium was built in 1927 and holds 38,279. It has also been named Stadio Littoriale. It replaced Stadio Sterlino. The England against Belgium match (1–0, goal scored by David Platt in the 119th minute) of 26 June 1990, in the Round of 16 of the World Cup, was the last of four matches in the tournament played in Bologna.

San Francesco (Bologna)

San Francesco is a church in Bologna, northern Italy. It was begun in 1236 by Marco da Brescia and his brother Giovanni, a Franciscan monk. Despite its Romanesque façade, it is one of the best example of French Gothic architecture in Italy. This is manifest in the interior, which has a nave and two aisles, in the apse with corridor, in the high vaults divided into six sections with ogival arches, and in the use of buttresses.

Palazzo d'Accursio

Palazzo d'Accursio (or Palazzo Comunale) is a palace in Bologna, Italy. It is located on the Piazza Maggiore and had been the city's Town Hall until 11 November 2008. Palazzo d'Accursio is home to the Civic Art Collection, with paintings from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. It also houses the Museo Morandi, with the works by Giorgio Morandi donated to the comune by his family.

Certosa di Bologna

The Certosa di Bologna is a former Carthusian monastery in Bologna, central Italy, which was founded in 1334 and suppressed in 1797. In 1801 it became the city’s Monumental Cemetery which would be much praised by Byron and others. In 1869 an Etruscan necropolis, which had been in use from the sixth to the third centuries BCE, was discovered here.

Palazzo Ghisilardi Fava

Palazzo Ghisilardi Fava located on Via Manzoni in Bologna is a Renaissance style palace, now housing the Medieval Civic Museum di Bologna and serving a site for changing exhibitions. It is also known for the rooms with frescoes (1598) painted by Ludovico, Annibale, and Agostino Carracci. They are considered among the first Baroque masterpieces. Built for the notary and chancellor Bartolomeo Ghisilardi between 1484 and 1491 on designs of Zilio Montanari.
