The Woodstock Music & Art Fair (informally, Woodstock or the Woodstock Festival) was a music festival, billed as "An Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace & Music". It was held at Max Yasgur's 600-acre (2.4 km²; 240 ha, 0.94 mi²) dairy farm in the Catskills near the hamlet of White Lake in the town of Bethel, New York, from August 15 to August 18, 1969. Mechanicstown is a hamlet in Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 6,061 at the 2000 census and 6,858 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Poughkeepsie–Newburgh–Middletown, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area as well as the larger New York–Newark–Bridgeport, NY-NJ-CT-PA Combined Statistical Area. Mechanicstown is in the Town of Walkill, southeast of City of Middletown.

The Middletown–Town of Wallkill Metro-North station, often just referred to as the Middletown station, serves the residents of those communities in Orange County, New York. Service is to Hoboken, 71.9 miles (116 km) via the Port Jervis Line; travel time is an hour and 40 minutes. Like all Port Jervis Line stations, this station serves commuters from a wide area. Many commuters use nearby NY 17 to reach the station from communities in Sullivan County such as Wurtsboro and Monticello.
Michigan Corners, New York
Michigan Corners, New York is a hamlet near Scotchtown east of Middletown, located at the corner of New York State Route 211 and Goshen Turnpike. There is no sign marking Michigan Corners, although it does appear on local maps. (There was a Michigan Corners Deli nearby, but the business was renamed Scotchtown Deli and Catering in 2007. ) According to legend, the hamlet got its name when a local man named Malcolm McLaughlin found himself in debt and skipped town around 1825.
John S. Burke Catholic High School

It is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. It is the only Catholic high school located in Orange County. The school's colors are blue and white, with their sports team the Burke Eagles carrying on those colors. Occasionally, silver is added to the school's colors.
