Oniontown, New York
Oniontown is an unincorporated settlement in Dutchess County, New York, located 1.5 miles south of the hamlet of Dover Plains, in the Town of Dover. It was briefly the subject of world-wide media attention in 2008, when a derisive video about the area published on YouTube led to visiting outsiders being attacked.
Dover Furnace (NYCRR station)
Dover Furnace was a station on the Harlem Line of the New York Central Railroad. It was 72 miles north from Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The station was closed at some point between 1959 and 1968. No station structures remain at the site. The site of the former Dover Furnace Station can be found on the south side of a one lane bridge over the tracks which carries Dutchess County Road 26.
