Bowie, Maryland
Bowie is a city in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 54,727 at the 2010 census. Bowie has grown from a small railroad stop to the largest municipality in Prince George's County, and the fifth most populous city and third largest city by area in the state of Maryland.
Woodmore, Maryland
Woodmore is an unincorporated area and census-designated place composed of a gated community and country club near Mitchellville, Maryland, one of the most affluent predominantly African-American communities in the United States. The population of Woodmore was 3,936 at the 2010 census. Centered around the country club, the community is planned to consist of 398 single-family homes on 799 acres .
Six Flags America
Six Flags America is a theme park located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. It is situated 15 miles east of Washington D.C. and 30 miles southwest of Baltimore. The park covers 523 acres, 131 of which is currently used for park operations. Founded as a wildlife center in 1973 by Ross Perot, ABC television operated the park as a drive-through safari called The Largo Wildlife Preserve beginning in 1974 until its ultimate decline that led to its closure in 1978.
Prince George's Stadium

It is home of the Baltimore Orioles' AA affiliate in the Eastern League, the Bowie Baysox. Apocalypse is a steel stand-up roller coaster located at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. The ride made its debut in 1990 as Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America before being relocated to Six Flags America and renamed to Apocalypse. The roller coaster was the first built by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard.
Mind Eraser
The Mind Eraser is a steel inverted roller coaster at four different Six Flags and PARC theme parks. Built by Vekoma, they are of the most common and standard Suspended Looping Coaster model that is found in many theme parks; at least fifteen other parks around the world have exactly the same ride under other names. The Mind Eraser was introduced in 1995 and was one of the first suspended looping coasters built in the world.
Batwing (roller coaster)
Batwing is a steel flying roller coaster built by Vekoma at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. Except for the paint scheme, this ride is identical in layout to Firehawk, another Vekoma Flying Dutchman, located at Kings Island. Both rides are nearly identical to Nighthawk, a Flying Dutchman located at Carowinds, however that ride has a slightly different ending.
Great Chase (Six Flags America)
Great Chase is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. This is a junior coaster that replaced the previous junior coaster, the Cannonball that ran from 1993 to 1998. The coaster is placed towards the back of the Looney Tunes Movie Town section of the park, and the ride is themed to a chase in the desert between the Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner.

The Joker's Jinx is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. The ride utilises linear induction motor technology to launch the train from 0 to 60 mph in just over three seconds. Premier Rides, the manufacturer gave the trains an overhaul in 2002 and replaced the restraints with lap bars.
Roar (roller coaster)
Roar (trademarked as ROAR) is the name of two wooden roller coasters operated by Six Flags. The original coaster was built at Six Flags America in Mitchellville, Maryland in 1998 while the other was built in 1999 at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, California. Both rides were designed and built by Great Coasters International (GCI), and have been in continuous operation for a decade.
The Wild One (roller coaster)
The Wild One is a wooden roller coaster at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. It is a classic style woodie with a series of bunny hills for a large amount of air time and a 450° spiral helix. The ride was originally known as "Giant Coaster" when it was re-located in 1985 from Paragon Park in Hull, Massachusetts, where it had operated since 1917.

The Country Club at Woodmore is a private country club, golf course, and gated community in Mitchellville, an unincorporated and affluent predominantly African-American community in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The nearby gated community, Woodmore, is also unincorporated. Founded as the Beaver Dam Golf and Country Club in 1923, it was renamed the Prince Georges Golf and Country Club in 1941.
Bowie Race Track
The Bowie Race Track was a horse racing track located just outside the city limits of Bowie, Maryland. The one mile oval racetrack, known as Prince George's Park, was opened October 1, 1914 under the auspices of the Southern Maryland Agricultural Society. A major attraction in the area, easy access for racetrack patrons was available from the WB&A Railroad which ran trains every five minutes from the Liberty Street Station in Baltimore for which they charged 65¢ for a round-trip ticket.

Governor's Bridge (Patuxent River)
Governor's Bridge is an historic single-lane bridge over the Patuxent River near Bowie, Maryland. A bridge has been located on this site since the mid-18th century although the current bridge is estimated to have been constructed circa 1907. The first bridge was constructed by Governor Samuel Ogle to travel between his mansion in Collington and the state capital in Annapolis. Although a common bridge type, Governor's Bridge is one of only two surviving truss bridges in Prince George's County.
