Mary Jones and her Bible
The story of Mary Jones and her Bible inspired the founding of the British and Foreign Bible Society. Mary Jones was a Welsh Protestant Christian girl who, at age fifteen, walked twenty-five miles across the countryside to buy a copy of the Welsh Bible from Thomas Charles because she did not have one. Charles then used her story in proposing to the Religious Tract Society that it set up a new organisation to supply Wales with Bibles.
Dolgoch railway station
Dolgoch railway station is a station on the Talyllyn Railway between Tywyn and Abergynolwyn, Gwynedd in mid-Wales. It is 4 miles 72 chains (7.89 km) from Tywyn Wharf. Unlike most places on the line, the station was built for tourist traffic, for visitors to the local Dolgoch Falls (Dolgoch in English: Red Meadow). All passenger trains stop here to take on water on the up journey.
Nant Gwernol railway station
Nant Gwernol railway station is the eastern terminus of the Talyllyn Railway near Abergynolwyn, Gwynedd in mid-Wales. It is 7 miles, 28 chains (11.83 km) from Tywyn Wharf. Nant Gwernol (English: Alder Stream) station was opened in 1976, at the foot of the former incline to Bryn Eglwys slate quarry - previously the upper part of the line had not been used for passenger services. Trains only wait at the station long enough for the locomotive to run round, as there are no facilities at that point.

Tarrenhendre
Tarrenhendre is a mountain in Snowdonia, North Wales. It is one of the Marilyns in the Cadair Idris group. Lying to the south of Cadair Idris, it and its neighbour Tarren y Gesail form the bulk of the Tarren subgroup. The Tarrens rise from the south shore of the Tal-y-llyn Lake and end at the Dyfi estuary. The summit is heathery and boggy, and has a small cairn to mark the highest point.
