The first recorded match on the ground was in 1986, when it held its first Women's Test between England women and India women. Stockeld Park
Stockeld Park is a Grade I country house and estate in North Yorkshire, England. The estate is located 2 miles north-west of Wetherby on the Harrogate road. The house is constructed of stone in the style of a Palladian villa, with all the rooms leading off from a central hall. It features a rare cantilevered staircase, 18th and 19th century furniture and works of art. Features of the grounds include a dovecote, lodges, a ha-ha, a walled garden and thatched timber loggia.
