Walton Hall, West Yorkshire
Walton Hall is a stately home in the county of West Yorkshire, England, near Wakefield. It was built in the Palladian style in 1767 on an island within a 26-acre lake, on the site of a former moated medieval hall. It was the ancestral home of the naturalist and traveller Charles Waterton, who made Walton Hall into the world's first wildfowl and nature reserve. Waterton's son, Edmund, sold the estate. The Waterton Collection is now in Wakefield Museum.
Newmillerdam
Newmillerdam is a village and suburb of Wakefield, in West Yorkshire, England. The name also refers to the lake and country park adjacent to the village. Formerly known as Thurstonhaigh, the village got its current name from the construction of a grain mill powered by water from the dammed lake, thus the 'New mill on the dam". The mill still stands, though is nonoperational, and is privately owned.

Pugneys Country Park
Pugneys Country Park is a 250-acre park located on the A636 between Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England and Junction 39 of the M1 motorway. The area was developed from a former opencast mine and a sand and gravel quarry and was opened to the public in 1985. It is overlooked by Sandal Castle. The park comprises two lakes, the larger of which is dedicated to non-powered watersports and the smaller lake is designated as a nature reserve.

Chevet is a civil parish in the City of Wakefield in West Yorkshire, England. It has a population of 66. Chevet Hall was a country house which stood in an estate, part of which is now Newmillerdam Country Park. The house was built in 1529 by the Nevile family and was bought in 1765 by Sir Lionel Pilkington, 5th Baronet and passed down through the Pilkington family. In 1954 the estate was acquired as a country park by Wakefield Council, who demolished the hall in the 1960's.

The Chantry Chapel of St Mary the Virgin, Wakefield is a chantry chapel in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England and is designated a Grade I Listed building by English Heritage. It is located south of the city centre on the medieval bridge over the River Calder. It is the only survivor of four chantries in Wakefield and the oldest and most ornate of the surviving bridge chapels in England. Others are at St Ives, Cambridgeshire, Rotherham and Bradford-on-Avon.
