Radstock North railway station
Radstock North railway station was a station on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway in the county of Somerset in England. Opened as Radstock on 20 July 1874, it was renamed in 1949 to differentiate it from the other Radstock station on the former Bristol and North Somerset Railway, later GWR, which became Radstock West in what is now Westfield. The station consisted of two platforms, a goods yard and cattle dock.

2011 Somerset hot air balloon crash
Early in the morning on New Year's Day, 1 January 2011, a hot air balloon attempting a high altitude flight crashed at Pratten's Bowls Club in Westfield, Somerset, near Bath, England. No other aircraft and no-one on the ground were involved. Witnesses saw flames coming from the basket. The basket was not intact when it crashed and the canopy was trailing up. The crash is believed to have narrowly missed a school, a row of houses, and Fosseway Golf Club.
Midsomer Norton and Welton railway station
Midsomer Norton and Welton was a station on the Great Western Railway line from Bristol to Frome via Radstock. The station was originally named just Welton, being located in a valley at the village of Welton, Somerset. It closed to passengers in 1959 with the closure of the line to passenger traffic, and to goods in 1964. Midsomer Norton was also served by a second station on the Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway.
