Frankford, Philadelphia

Frankford is a large and important neighborhood in the lower Northeast section of Philadelphia situated about six miles (10 km) northeast of Center City. Although its borders are vaguely defined, the neighborhood is bounded roughly by the original course of Frankford Creek, now roughly Adams to Aramingo Avenues, Roosevelt Boulevard, and Cheltenham Avenue. Adjacent neighborhoods are Bridesburg, Kensington, Juniata, Oxford Circle, Summerdale, and Wissinoming.

Bridesburg, the northernmost of Philadelphia's River Wards, is a river-front neighborhood just south and east the Northeast section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Bridesburg is an historically German and Irish community, with a significant community of Polish immigrants who arrived mostly in the early- to mid-twentieth century.

Delair Bridge

The Delair Bridge is a lift bridge carrying the New Jersey Transit Atlantic City Line and a former Conrail line, now a shared asset between Norfolk Southern Railway and CSX Transportation. It crosses the Delaware River between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Pennsauken Township, New Jersey, just south of the Betsy Ross Bridge. The bridge's southern track is currently reserved for freight traffic, and the northern track is currently reserved for the Atlantic City Line.

Bridesburg (SEPTA station)

Bridesburg Station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station at Bridge Street and Harbison Avenue, in the Bridesburg neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station is in zone 2 on the SEPTA Trenton Line, on the Amtrak Northeast Corridor, and is 10.2 track miles from Suburban Station. In 2005, this station saw 162 boardings on an average weekday. Amtrak does not stop at this station.

Pennsauken Creek

Pennsauken Creek is a 3.8-mile-long tributary of the Delaware River in Burlington and Camden counties, New Jersey in the United States. Pennsauken Creek drains 33 square miles of southwestern Burlington County and northern Camden County and joins the Delaware River near Palmyra. Frankford Friends Meeting House

Frankford (Preparative) Friends Meeting House is a historic Quaker meeting house in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its oldest parts having been built in 1775–1776, it is significant as the oldest surviving meeting house in Philadelphia. Located at the corner of Unity and Waln Streets, it is now used also as a community center.

Comly Rich House

The Comly Rich House is a historic house in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, notable as the first home in the United States financed by a savings and loan association, the Oxford Provident Building Society, founded 1831. To buy the house, which cost $500, Rich, variously described as a lamplighter or a maker of combs, received a loan of $375 in April 1831 from the Oxford Provident Building Association, founded the same year.
