Parker Middle School dance shooting
The Parker Middle School dance shooting was an incident that occurred on April 24, 1998 at a restaurant in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, United States. Andrew Jerome Wurst, 14, fatally shot 48-year-old John Gillette, and wounded another teacher and two students at Nick's Place (a nearby restaurant) during an 8th grade graduation dance. Prior to the shooting, Andrew Wurst was described as an average student, and somewhat of a loner.
Sox Harrison Stadium
Sox Harrison Stadium is a stadium in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, on the campus of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. It is home to the Edinboro Fighting Scots of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. The stadium is named for B. Regis "Sox" Harrison, who served as the head football coach at Edinboro from 1926–1938 and 1941-42 before being inducted into the University's Athletic Hall of Fame. The stadium was officially opened in 1965. It underwent several renovations in the late 1990s.
