Yankee Stadium (1923)
Yankee Stadium was a stadium located in The South Bronx in New York City, in the U.S. state of New York. It was the home ballpark of the New York Yankees, one of the city's Major League Baseball (MLB) franchises, from 1923 to 1973 and from 1976 to 2008. The stadium hosted 6,581 Yankees regular season home games during its 85-year history. It was also the former home of the New York Giants football team.
South Bronx
The South Bronx is an area of the New York City borough of The Bronx, in the U.S. state of New York. The geographic definitions of the South Bronx have evolved and are disputed but certainly include the neighborhoods of Mott Haven and Melrose. The neighborhoods of Tremont, University Heights, Highbridge, Morrisania, Soundview, Hunts Point, Longwood and Castle Hill are sometimes considered part of the South Bronx.

It is the second busiest station in the Bronx (161st Street – Yankee Stadium has more riders), 48th overall, with 7,525,094 passengers as of 2012.

Melrose (Metro-North station)
The Melrose (also known as Melrose – East 162nd Street) Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Melrose section of The Bronx via the Harlem Line. It is 6.1 miles from Grand Central Terminal and is located in an open cut beneath Park Avenue at its intersection with East 162nd Street, six tenths of a mile from Yankee Stadium. Service at Melrose is limited; trains stop every 30 minutes during rush hours, every two hours mid-days and evenings.
Monument Park (Yankee Stadium)
Monument Park is an open-air museum located at the new Yankee Stadium containing a collection of monuments, plaques, and retired numbers honoring distinguished members of the New York Yankees. The original Monument Park was created when the old Yankee Stadium fence was moved in 44 feet during its renovation in the mid-1970's, enclosing prior monuments, plaques, and a flag pole previously on the field of play.

All Hallows High School
All Hallows High School (formerly known as All Hallows Institute) is a Catholic boys' high school in The Bronx, New York, United States. Located at 111 East 164th Street, near Yankee Stadium, the school has an enrollment of approximately 650 boys, 98% of whom are men of color. Despite sitting in the poorest Congressional district in the country, All Hallows routinely places its entire graduating class in four-year colleges.

The Hub, Bronx
The Hub is at the retail, theater, and restaurant heart of the South Bronx, New York. It is located where four roads converge: East 149th Street, Willis, Melrose and Third Avenue. It is primarily located inside the neighborhood of Melrose but also lines the northern border of Mott Haven. The Hub has been called "the Broadway of the Bronx". It is the site of both maximum traffic and architectural density.
East 161st Street (Bronx)
East 161st Street is a short, major thoroughfare in the southern portion of the Bronx. The road is 1.6 mile (2.57 kilometres) long and is the best access to the Yankee Stadium. The road begins at an intersection with Jerome Avenue, a major thoroughfare in the Bronx, and Woodycrest Avenue, a one-way street in the Bronx. The road is one of the widest in the Bronx, until the Sheridan Avenue intersection, where the divided highway merges. East 161st Street ends at Elton Avenue.
Bronx School for Law, Government and Justice
The Bronx School for Law Government and Justice is a high school in the Bronx, New York City. The school was founded in September 1997 and covers grades 6-12. It has a lot of programs not offered in area high schools such as law-based mathematics and criminal procedure courses. The schools name is usually shortened to LGJ by teachers and students, and the school's motto is "Champions of the Charge".
Bronx Museum of the Arts
The Bronx Museum of the Arts is a cultural institution located in the New York City borough of The Bronx. The museum focuses on contemporary and 20th century works created by American artists, and it has hosted exhibitions of art and design from Latin America, Africa and Asia. Its permanent collection consists of more than 800 paintings, sculptures, photographs and works on paper.
149th Street (IRT Third Avenue Line)
149th Street was an express station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line, at "The Hub". The station was originally opened on June 16, 1887. It was built three tracks and two island platforms. The next stop to the north was 156th Street. The next stop to the south was 143rd Street. When the line south of here was closed on May 12, 1955, 149th Street station became the southern terminus of the Third Avenue Line.

Concourse Plaza Hotel
The Concourse Plaza Hotel was a luxury hotel located at Grand Concourse and 161st Street in The Bronx, New York. Once the site of presidential campaign stops and host to major sports stars, it is now a senior citizens residence owned and operated by the New York City municipal government.
Bronx County Hall of Justice
The Bronx County Hall of Justice is a courthouse at 265 East 161 Street, between Sherman and Morris Avenues in the Bronx in New York City. The 10-story building has 775,000 square feet and includes 47 Supreme and Criminal Court rooms, seven grand jury rooms, and office space for the Department of Corrections, Department of Probation, and the District Attorney. The steel and glass building was designed by Rafael Viñoly and topped off in 2003 and opened in 2007.
Alfred E. Smith Career and Technical Education High School
Alfred E. Smith Career and Technical Education High School is a vocational high school in the Melrose section of South Bronx, Bronx, New York. It was originally built in the early 20th Century as the "Bronx Continuation School" for students who left the school system. The school eventually became a vocational high school in the 1920s. The school was named after the former New York governor and Democratic nominee for president, Alfred E. Smith in 1965. Its address is 151 E. 151 Street.
Morrisania Air Rights
Morrisania Air Rights is New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) public housing project consisting of three buildings, 19, 23, and 29-stories tall. There are 843 apartments housing some 1,952 residents. It was designed by the architectural firm, The Eggers Partnership also known as Eggers & Higgins. The projects were completed in 1980 over Metro-North Railroad tracks, taking advantage of the air rights above the tracks.

Built for Matthias Haffen's family, founder of the brewery that grew into Haffen Brewing Company, it is located at 138th Street between Third Avenue and Willis Avenue. The building was designed by architect Michael J. Garvin, a friend of Louis Haffen, and the designer of the Bronx Borough Courthouse.
