Morrisania, Bronx
Morrisania is the historical name for the South Bronx in New York City, New York. The name derives from the powerful and aristocratic Morris family, who at one time owned all of the Manor of Morrisania as well as much of New Jersey. The family includes Lewis Morris, 4th Lord of the Manor, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and Gouverneur Morris, penman of the Constitution. They are buried in the crypt at St. Ann's Church of Morrisania.
Melrose, Bronx
Melrose is primarily a residential neighborhood geographically located in the southwestern section of the borough of The Bronx in New York City. Predominantly German-American in the 19th century it is home to the Haffen Building and was home to Haffen Brewing Company. The German population waned especially post WWII. The neighborhood until the 60s was mostly Irish and Italian. It is now primarily Latino. It adjoins the business and one-time theater area known as the Hub.

The college was designed to serve the educational needs of Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics. The school employs a largely bilingual faculty of 130 full-time and 100 part-time members. Melrose (Metro-North station)
The Melrose (also known as Melrose – East 162nd Street) Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of the Melrose section of The Bronx via the Harlem Line. It is 6.1 miles from Grand Central Terminal and is located in an open cut beneath Park Avenue at its intersection with East 162nd Street, six tenths of a mile from Yankee Stadium. Service at Melrose is limited; trains stop every 30 minutes during rush hours, every two hours mid-days and evenings.
East 161st Street (Bronx)
East 161st Street is a short, major thoroughfare in the southern portion of the Bronx. The road is 1.6 mile (2.57 kilometres) long and is the best access to the Yankee Stadium. The road begins at an intersection with Jerome Avenue, a major thoroughfare in the Bronx, and Woodycrest Avenue, a one-way street in the Bronx. The road is one of the widest in the Bronx, until the Sheridan Avenue intersection, where the divided highway merges. East 161st Street ends at Elton Avenue.

161st Street was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line. It originally opened on August 7, 1887 and had three tracks and two side platforms. The next stop to the north was 166th Street. The next stop to the south was 156th Street. The station closed on April 29, 1973.

Morrisania Air Rights
Morrisania Air Rights is New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) public housing project consisting of three buildings, 19, 23, and 29-stories tall. There are 843 apartments housing some 1,952 residents. It was designed by the architectural firm, The Eggers Partnership also known as Eggers & Higgins. The projects were completed in 1980 over Metro-North Railroad tracks, taking advantage of the air rights above the tracks.
