River Teifi
The River Teifi forms the boundary between the counties of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire in south-west Wales for most of its 75 mile length (making it the longest river wholly in Wales), flowing into the sea below the town of Cardigan. The catchment of the river is estimated to be 1,008 square kilometres yielding an average flow at Glan Teifi of 29.126 m³/s. The maximum recorded flow between 1959 and 2011 was 373.6 m³/s on 18 October 1987.
Cilgerran Castle
Cilgerran Castle is a 13th-century ruined castle located in Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire, Wales, near Cardigan. The castle is a National Trust property, in the guardianship of Cadw: Welsh Historic Monuments Executive Agency. The castle sits on a rocky promontory above the River Teifi. An earth and timber castle is believed to have been built around 1100, though the existing masonry dates from around 13th century.
Bridell
Bridell is a village and parish in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is situated in the north of the county, 4 km south of Cardigan. The parish includes the village of Pen-y-bryn {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:52|3|15|N|4|39|34|W| | |name= }}. Together with the parishes of Cilgerran and Llantood, it constitutes the community of Cilgerran. The derivation of the placename is obscure. Lying on the western border of the cantref of Emlyn, it has always been essentially Welsh-speaking.
Ceredigion Coast Path
The Ceredigion Coast Path (Welsh: Llwybr Arfordir Ceredigion) is a waymarked long distance footpath in the United Kingdom, on the coast of Ceredigion, Wales. It is 65 miles in length running along the coast of Cardigan Bay from Cardigan to Ynyslas . The path forms one section of the All Wales Coast Path, an 870 miles long-distance walking route around the whole coast of Wales from Chepstow to Queensferry, opened in 2012.
Cardigan County School
Cardigan County School is the name given to the endowed grammar school in Cardigan which was founded there in the mid seventeenth century. The Intermediate School was opened in the Cardigan Free Grammar School on 4 November 1895, and a new building was opened on 21 September 1898. It seems the school lost its county status in 1949 and was succeeded by the Cardigan Secondary School Records of the school up to 1949 are held in the Ceredigion Archives in Aberystwyth.
Coedmor National Nature Reserve
Located just south of Cardigan, between Llechryd Bridge and the Teifi Marshes in Ceredigion, Coedmor National Nature Reserve is one of the most picturesque in Wales. It was established in order to protect the natural oak woodland on the slopes on either sides of the Teifi gorge, just south of Cardigan in Ceredigion. With Cilgerran Castle standing dramatically above wooded slopes, the area has attracted famous painters such as Turner and Richard Wilson, amongst other travellers and writers.
St Dogmaels television relay station
The St Dogmaels television relay station is a broadcasting and telecommunications facility located just above the village of St Dogmaels about 2 km to the south west of the town of Cardigan, in Ceredigion, Wales. It was originally built by the IBA as a 625-line analogue UHF television relay, entering service in early 1978. Since then it has been converted to transmit the main three multiplexes of the DVB-T digital television system.
