Bala Lake
Bala Lake is a large lake in Gwynedd, Wales. It was the largest natural body of water in Wales prior to the level being raised by Thomas Telford to help support the flow of the Ellesmere Canal. (It still is the largest natural body of water in Wales). It is 4 miles long by 1 mile wide, and is subject to sudden and dangerous floods. The River Dee runs through it and the waters of the lake are famously deep and clear.
Bala Lake Railway
The Bala Lake Railway is a preserved railway at Bala Lake, in Gwynedd, north Wales, which runs for a distance of 4+⁄2 miles using 24 gauge rolling stock. It was built on a section of the former Ruabon - Barmouth GWR route which was closed in 1965. This section runs along the south-eastern shore of Bala Lake. Another section of the former trackbed is today used by the Llangollen Railway.
Llangower railway station
Llangower was a minor station opened by the GWR on the Ruabon to Barmouth line in 1929 on the southern shore of Bala Lake serving the hamlet of Llangower . There was no signal box or freight facility. Today, although not in its original location the station has been reopened by the Bala Lake Railway and is the main intermediate point on the line and the only place where trains can pass each other. It is well sited to provide access to the lakeside for walks, picnics and bird watching.
Bryn Hynod Halt railway station
Bryn Hynod railway station is a railway halt on the Bala Lake Railway. Trains will stop here by request. Bryn Hynod offers shaded woodland nooks that are ideal for picnics and is often used for launching sailboards and small boats There is off road parking by the lakeside. Bryn Hynod platform was demolished February 2012.

Bala Lake Halt railway station in Gwynedd, Wales, was formerly a station on the Ruabon to Barmouth line. In 1976 the site became the eastern terminus of the Bala Lake Railway, later named Bala (Llyn Tegid) and now Bala (Penybont)
Bala (New) railway station
Bala railway station was a railway station on the Great Western Railway's Bala Ffestiniog Line in Wales. When it opened it replaced the first Bala station which had been sited farther away from the village on the Ruabon Barmouth Line.
Christ Church, Bala
Christ Church, Bala, is in Bala, Gwynedd, Wales. It is an active Anglican church in the deanery of Penllyn & Edeyrnion, the archdeaconry of Wrexham, and the diocese of St Asaph. The church was designated a Grade II listed building on 13 December 2001. The first church to be built on the site was in 1811. The present church was built between 1853 and 1857. The stalls and prayer desks were designed by the Chester architect John Douglas.

Maes Tegid is a community playing field in Bala, Wales. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Bala Town. The stadium holds 3,000 people, with 304 seats.
