Llanegwad is a community located in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Llanegwad is built up mainly of small farms and detached homes. Most of all homes located in Llanegwad are older Victorian properties; As well as a number of more modern homes. The area has few amenities any more, with the village Church “Llanegwad Church (St Edgwad church), unfortunately closing in 2005 and thus now redundant due to the state of repair of the building. There are plans though for restoring the church.

Paxton's Tower is a Neo-Gothic folly erected in honour of Lord Nelson. It is situated on a hilltop near Llanarthney in the Towy Valley, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Nantgaredig is a village in Carmarthenshire. The village is most notable for being the home of actor Julian Lewis Jones. The winner of the 1990 Cheltenham Gold Cup, Norton's Coin, was trained by Sirrel Griffiths at his farm at Nantgaredig. The village is also the home of Welsh rugby union footballer Mefin Davies who plays as a hooker in the Wales national rugby union team and the Ospreys.

Brechfa transmitting station

The Brechfa television relay station is sited on high ground to the east of the village of Brechfa to the northeast of Carmarthen. It was originally built in the 1980s as a fill-in relay for UHF analogue colour television covering the communities of Brechfa, Horeb and Aber Goleu. It consists of a 12 m self-supporting lattice steel mast standing on a hillside which is itself about 290 m above sea level. The transmissions are beamed northeast to cover all these targets.
