Aschersleben-Staßfurt was a district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany until 2007. It was bounded by (from the northeast and clockwise) the districts of Schönebeck, Bernburg, Mansfelder Land, Quedlinburg and Bördekreis.

Bode (river)
The Bode is a river in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, a left tributary of the Saale. It rises in the Harz mountains and drains them in a northerly direction. After 169 kilometres it discharges into the Saale at Nienburg. The river is named after a legendary giant, the wild, rampaging, Bohemian, Prince Bodo, who, according to the Rosstrappe legend changed into a marauding dog that guarded the crown of Princess Brunhilde in the Kronensumpf ("crown marsh") in the present-day Bode Gorge.

Traditionsbetriebswerk Stassfurt
The Traditionsbetriebswerk Stassfurt (Stassfurt Heritage Locomotive Depot) is a German railway motive power depot at Stassfurt in the state of Saxony-Anhalt that was opened in 1856. Today the locomotive depot, that lies on the Schönebeck to Güsten railway line, is operated by the society Eisenbahnfreunde Traditionsbahnbetriebswerk Staßfurt (Railway Friends of the Stassfurt Heritage Locomotive Depot).
Eine (river)
The Eine is a river, just under 40 kilometres long in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, which rises southeast of Harzgerode in the Harz mountains at 420 m above sea level. The Eine flows north of the B 242 federal road to Friedrichsrode in an easterly direction and then swings northeast into the Harz Foreland. The river channel runs through Alterode, Welbsleben and Westdorf to Aschersleben.
Bernburg Euthanasia Centre
The Nazi Euthanasia Centre at Bernburg operated from 21 November 1940 to 30 July 1943 in a separate wing of the State Sanatorium and Mental Hospital (Landes-Heil- und Pflegeanstalt) in Bernburg on the River Saale in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It was one of several euthanasia centres run by the Nazis under their official "Euthanasia Programme", later referred to after the war as Action T4.
