Oberschule am Elsengrund
Oberschule am Elsengrund is a school in Mahlsdorf in Berlin, Germany. The school was founded in 1983 as a school for Polytechnique. After the reunification of Germany it became a comprehensive school. This school moved away in summer 1993 and in August of the same year it became a gymnasium (school) which is still existing. It has about 750 students taught by around 50 teachers. Foreign languages taught are English, French, Latin and Spanish.

Dämeritzsee
The Dämeritzsee is a lake located in Brandenburg and Berlin, Germany. At an elevation of 32 metres, its surface area is 93.5 hectares . It is located partly in the municipality of Erkner and part in Rahnsdorf, a Berliner locality in Treptow-Köpenick district. The lake forms part of the course of the River Spree, and is the location of that river's confluence with the short Flakenfließ that flows out of the Flakensee.

Swiss International Airlines Flight 850
Swiss International Air Lines Flight 850 (LX 850) was an international scheduled passenger flight from Basle, Switzerland, to Hamburg, Germany. On 10 July 2002, the flight was unable to land at Fuhlsbüttel Airport due to weather. Attempts were made to divert to other airports at Berlin and Eberswalde before the crew decided to land at Werneuchen. On landing, the aircraft struck an earth bank which ripped off all three undercarriage legs, and came to rest on its belly with an engine on fire.
