Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines
Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is a new town in the French département of Yvelines. It is one of the original five villes nouvelles of Paris and was named after the Saint Quentin Pond, which was chosen to become the town's centre. The town was built from a greenfield site starting in the 1960s. In 2007, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines had a population of 146,598. It is part of the much larger Paris metropolitan area.
Étang de Saint-Quentin
The Étang de Saint-Quentin, or pond of Trappes, with a surface of approximately 2.5 km², is the largest body of fresh water in Yvelines. It on in the perimeter of the new town of Saint-Quentin-in-Yvelines, in the commune of Trappes and Montigny-le-Bretonneux. The lake an important base of outdoor recreation. To the west of the lake a national natural reserve of 0.87 km² was established in 1986.

The Mérantaise is a small river in southern Île-de-France, left tributary of the Yvette, which is a tributary of the Orge. Its source is in Voisins-le-Bretonneux, near Versailles, in the Yvelines department.
Lycée militaire de Saint-Cyr
Situated at Saint-Cyr-l'École, the lycée militaire de Saint-Cyr (or Coldo) is one of six lycées de la Défense (formerly 'lycées militaires') of the French Ministry of Defence. It is sited in a particularly historic building - it succeeds the Maison royale de Saint-Louis, the Prytanée militaire and the École spéciale militaire. The lycée's motto is "La véritable école du commandement est donc la culture générale".

Le Golf National
The Albatros course at Le Golf National is an 18 hole golf course designed by the architect Hubert Chesneau in collaboration with Pierre Thevenin. It is located in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, Paris, France. It took three years to build from July 1987 to October 1990. It was opened on 5 October 1990 by Roger Bambuck, Minister of Youth and Sports.
