Battle of Englefield
The Battle of Englefield was a battle on 31 December 870 at Englefield, near Reading in what is now the English county of Berkshire. It was one of a series of battles, with honours to both sides, that took place following an invasion of the then kingdom of Wessex by an army of Danes, during which the Danes had established a camp at Reading. Both battle and campaign are described in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle.

Garston Lock is a lock on the Kennet and Avon Canal. It is near the M4 motorway and near Reading, England. Garston Lock was built between 1718 and 1723 under the supervision of the engineer John Hore of Newbury, and this stretch of the river is now administered by British Waterways and known as the Kennet Navigation. It has a rise/fall of 7 ft 7ins (2.29m).

Sulhamstead Lock is a lock on the River Kennet at Sulhamstead in the English county of Berkshire. Sulhamstead Lock was built between 1718 and 1723 under the supervision of the engineer John Hore of Newbury, and this stretch of the river is now administered by British Waterways and known as the Kennet Navigation. Moor Copse Nature Reserve
Moor Copse Nature Reserve, in the civil parish of Tidmarsh in the English county of Berkshire, is a recently expanded nature reserve by the River Pang, owned by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust. It consists of Hogmoor Copse, Park Wood and Moor Copse Wood. At the end of 2006, an adjoining area of meadows and copses was bought after a public appeal that doubled the size of the Reserve.
