The Yorkshire Sculpture Park in the parkland of Bretton Hall in West Bretton, Wakefield, in West Yorkshire, England is an open-air gallery showing work by UK and international artists, including Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth. Netherton, Wakefield

Netherton is a small village in the City of Wakefield metropolitan borough of West Yorkshire, England. It lies about 4 miles south-west of Wakefield, 3 miles south of Ossett, 1 mile south of Horbury. The village was originally named "Nether Shitlington", but this was changed sometime after 1855. The village was once home to two collieries - Denby Grange and Bullcliffe Wood. The latter was one of the leading pits behind the UK Miners' Strike (1984-1985).

Haigh, West Yorkshire

Haigh is a small village in South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, England. Historically within the West Riding of Yorkshire, it lies half in the Wakefield district and half in the Barnsley district. It grew up as a pit village and had its own colliery until 1968. Thereafter, Woolley Colliery became the main source of employment until its closure in 1987. Haigh suffered from significant decline for several years afterwards. It is now a commuter village for the large towns and cities of Yorkshire.

Cannon Hall Farm

Cannon Hall Farm is a working farm and tourist attraction close to the village of Cawthorne, near Barnsley in the English county of South Yorkshire. Open to visitors since 1989, it is owned and run by the Nicholson family. The farm was voted Best Tourist Experience at the Welcome to Yorkshire White Rose Awards 2011. Cannon Hall Farm was once the home farm for Cannon Hall, built by the Spencer-Stanhope family and now a museum.
