Williams F1
Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited, trading as Williams F1, is a British Formula One motor racing team and constructor. It is founded and run by team owner Sir Frank Williams and automotive engineer Patrick Head. The team was formed in 1977 after Frank Williams' two earlier and, compared with Williams F1's achievements, unsuccessful F1 operations: Frank Williams Racing Cars (1969 to 1975) and Walter Wolf Racing (1976).

Hanney
Hanney was an ancient ecclesiastical parish about 3 miles north of Wantage in the Vale of White Horse. It included the villages of East Hanney and West Hanney (known collectively as "The Hanneys") and Lyford. Hanney was part of Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes transferred the Vale of White Horse to Oxfordshire.
Wantage Rural District
Wantage was a rural district of Berkshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It was created in 1894 as a successor to the Wantage rural sanitary district. It was named after Wantage, which formed a separate urban district entirely surrounded by the rural district. It had its headquarters in Belmont, Wantage. The district was abolished in 1974 (as were all other rural districts, under the Local Government Act 1972).

Wantage Road railway station was on the Great Western Main Line in the Vale of White Horse. The station was actually at the village of Grove, Oxfordshire, more than two miles north of Wantage.
RAF Grove
Royal Air Force Station Grove or more simply RAF Grove is a former Royal Air Force station in Berkshire then later Oxfordshire, England. The airfield is located approximately 1 mile northwest of Wantage; about 55 miles west-northwest of London Opened in 1942, it was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces. During the war it was used primarily as a reconnaissance airfield. After the war it was closed in 1946.
Wantage Tramway
The Wantage Tramway Company was a two mile tramway that carried passengers and freight between the Oxfordshire town of Wantage and Wantage Road Station on the Great Western Main Line. Formed in 1873 to link Wantage Road station with its terminus at Mill Street, Wantage the line was cheaply built parallel to what was then the Besselsleigh Turnpike, and now the A338. The tramway closed to passengers in 1925 and to goods traffic in 1945.
