Elkington, Northamptonshire

Elkington is a deserted medieval village and civil parish in the Daventry district of the county of Northamptonshire in England. The village was described as Elkynton and other variants in 1377 having 30 taxpayers over the age of 14. However, in 1412 the village is described as destitute of inhabitants save the seven who were servitors at Pipewell Abbey due to a pestilence believed to be the plague. Today there are no houses left in the village except a single remaining farm.

Welford and Kilworth railway station was a railway station serving Welford and North and South Kilworth in the English county of Leicestershire. It was opened as Welford on the Rugby and Stamford Railway in 1850. Parliamentary approval was gained in 1846 by the directors of the London and Birmingham Railway for a branch from Rugby to the Syston and Peterborough Railway near Stamford. In the same year the company became part of the London and North Western Railway.

Bosworth Hall (Husbands Bosworth)

Bosworth Hall actually consists of two houses, the Old Hall and a 'new' Georgian-style hall, situated in Teddingworth Road, Husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire. The Old Hall, originally constructed in Norman times, was substantially renovated in the 16th century as a west facing country house. The new and additional Georgian hall was then built facing south west, adjoining the older house, in about 1790. In about 1870 a Victorian Gothick wing was created to link the two buildings.
