Ribblehead
Ribblehead is the area of moorland at the head of the River Ribble in the area known as Ribblesdale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, England. Ribblehead is most notable for Ribblehead railway station and Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle to Carlisle railway. It is in North Yorkshire with its nearest town being Ingleton. It has some accommodation catering mainly for hikers and a small local population.
Newby Head
Newby Head, Newby Head Farm or Newby Head Inn is part of the Beresford Estate and was a popular drovers' inn in North Yorkshire, England. It stands at the top of Newby Head Pass on the B6255 road between Ingleton and Hawes. Newby Head is around 1,425 feet above sea level. When Newby Head was an drovers' inn, it was the fourth highest inn in England. There was plenty of custom from the drovers bringing sheep and cattle to and from Scotland.
