Embley Park
Embley Park, in Wellow was the family home of Florence Nightingale from 1825 until her death in 1910. It is also where Florence Nightingale claimed she had received her divine calling from God. It is now the location of Hampshire Collegiate School, a co-educational independent school for 3 -18 year olds.
Paultons Park
Paultons Theme Park is located in the village of Ower, near Romsey, in Hampshire, England. The theme park has 60 rides and attractions, the latest addition to which was a Peppa Pig World based on the children’s television series character Peppa Pig. The name is derived from the former Paultons Estate, on which the Park is situated. The Park covers 140 acres of land and features a collection of around 80 species of birds and animals, in addition to the rides.
Weyhill
Weyhill is a village, three miles west of Andover, Hampshire. Within it there is a church, a nursing home, a pub and an historic Fairground site that houses a number of craft studios, a Village Hall and a Tearoom The historic Weyhill Fairground was the site used by Thomas Hardy in his book The Mayor of Casterbridge where Michael Henchard sells his wife. Hardy called it Weydon Priors. A fair has been held on the site as far back as the 11th Century. In former times it had Weyhill railway station.
