The Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (German Electron Synchrotron), commonly abbreviated DESY, is a national research center in Germany which operates particle accelerators used to investigate the structure of matter. It conducts a broad spectrum of inter-disciplinary scientific research in three main areas: particle and high energy physics; photon science; and the development, construction and operation of particle accelerators.
Volksparkstadion
Volksparkstadion is a football stadium located in Bahrenfeld, Hamburg, Germany. It is the home ground of German Bundesliga club Hamburger SV and was one of the 12 stadia used in the 2006 Football World Cup, hosting four group games and a quarter-final. Through a sponsorship deal the stadium is officially named Imtech Arena, and has previously been called the Volksparkstadion, AOL Arena and HSH Nordbank Arena for similar reasons.

ZEUS (particle detector)
ZEUS was a particle detector that operated on the HERA (Hadron Elektron Ring Anlage) particle accelerator at DESY, Hamburg. It began running together with HERA in 1992 and was functional until HERA was decommissioned in June 2007. The Tierpark Hagenbeck is a zoo in Stellingen, now a quarter in Hamburg, Germany. The collection began in 1863 with animals that belonged to Carl Hagenbeck Sr. (1810–87), a fishmonger who became an amateur animal collector. The park itself was founded by Carl Hagenbeck Jr. in 1907. It is known for being the first zoo to use open enclosures surrounded by moats, rather than barred cages, to better approximate animals' natural environments.

According to S-Bahn Hamburg plc — owner and operator of the S-Bahn — approximately 13,500 passengers per day used the Ohlsdorf–Hamburg Airport line in 2009. From Ohlsdorf, the first three cars of an S1 train, coming from central station, will proceed to the airport, while the last three go to Kornweg and Poppenbüttel station.

Paninternational Flight 112 was a BAC One-Eleven that crashed in Germany on 6 September 1971 while attempting to land on an Autobahn following the failure of both engines. The accident killed 22 passengers and crew out of 121 on board.

Stavenhagenhaus
The Stavenhagenhaus is a baroque brick manor house in the Hamburg borough of Groß Borstel. The property became a summer residence for wealthy Hamburg citizens from 1651. The current house was built in the early 18th century by the cloth merchant Eybert Tiefbrunn, and his coat of arms is still found over the main entrance door, with the year 1703. The building is a rare example of a baroque brick building from the era.
Birdland (Hamburg)
Birdland is a jazz club in Hamburg. The basement club is located in the Eimsbüttel district on Gärtnerstraße. It was opened in 1985 by Dieter Reichert. The club is supported by Jazz Federation Hamburg e. V which organizes the event and allows its members to attend performances free of charge. The club accommodates audiences of 150 with seating for some 110. It has been described as "much-needed addition to Hamburg's catalogue of venues for international and home-grown stars.
