Bouches-de-l'Elbe
Bouches-de-l'Elbe is the name of a département of the First French Empire in present Germany that survived three years. It is named after the mouth of the river Elbe. It was formed in 1811, when the region, originally belonging partially to Bremen-Verden (which in 1807 had been intermittently incorporated into the Kingdom of Westphalia), to Hamburg, Lübeck and Saxe-Lauenburg, was annexed by France. Its territory is part of the present German lands Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.

The University of Hamburg is a university in Hamburg, Germany. It was founded on 28 March 1919 by Wilhelm Stern and others. It grew out of the previous Allgemeines Vorlesungswesen and the Kolonialinstitut (Colonial Institute) as well as the Akademisches Gymnasium. There are around 40,000 students as of the end of 2011. In spite of its relatively short history, 6 Nobel Prize Winners and serials of scholars are affiliated to the University.
German Open Tennis Championships
The German Open Hamburg, established in 1892, is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Hamburg, Germany and part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. Originally a Grand Prix Tennis Tour event between 1978 and 1989 it was part of the Grand Prix Championship Series. The tournament is played on clay courts at the tennis center Am Rothenbaum. In the past, it was contested in May, as a precursor to the French Open. Currently, it is held in July instead.
Siege of Hamburg
The city of Hamburg was one of the most powerful fortresses east of the Rhine. After being freed from Napoleonic rule by advancing Cossacks and other following allied troops it was once more occupied by Marshal Davout's French XIII Corps on 28 May 1813, at the height of the campaign for Germany in the Napoleonic Wars, or the War of the Sixth Coalition from French rule and occupation.

Alsterdorfer Sporthalle
Alsterdorfer Sporthalle, also known as Sporthalle Hamburg, is an indoor arena in Hamburg, Germany. Alsterdorfer Sporthalle holds up to 7,000 people with 4,200 seats. It opened in 1968 and is located in the city's quarter of Winterhude. It hosts mainly indoor sporting events, pop/rock concerts & trade shows. The 1978 World Fencing Championships were held here. In July 2010, all matches of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship 2010 were played in this hall.
Sportplatz at Rothenbaum
Sportplatz am Rothenbaum was a multi-use stadium in Hamburg, Germany. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home matches of Hamburger SV. The stadium was able to hold 27,000 people and opened in 1910. It was eventually replaced by Volksparkstadion in 1963 and was closed for good in 1997.

The Gelehrtenschule des Johanneums is a Gymnasium in Hamburg, Germany. It is Hamburg's oldest school and was founded in 1529 by Johannes Bugenhagen. The school's motto is The Future needs a Heritage . The school´s focus is on the teaching of Latin and ancient Greek. It is proud of having educated some of Germany's political leaders as well as some of Germany's notable scientists. The school is operated and financed by the city of Hamburg.

The Wilhelm-Gymnasium is a university preparatory school in Hamburg, Germany. It is one of Hamburg's oldest schools. It was founded in 1881 and called Neue Gelehrtenschule (transl. New Academic school) and soon became a rival of the Academic school of the Johanneum. In 1883 it was renamed Wilhelm Gymnasium to honour the then-present German Emperor, Wilhem I. Since 1953, the school also accepts girls.

Stavenhagenhaus
The Stavenhagenhaus is a baroque brick manor house in the Hamburg borough of Groß Borstel. The property became a summer residence for wealthy Hamburg citizens from 1651. The current house was built in the early 18th century by the cloth merchant Eybert Tiefbrunn, and his coat of arms is still found over the main entrance door, with the year 1703. The building is a rare example of a baroque brick building from the era.
